I just received a Cryptomeria ‘Chapel View’ from you, and was ultra-impressed with everything about this transaction.
First, since it was out of stock, I ‘Wish-Listed’ it, and within days received and email that it was back in stock. A lot of nurseries never bother to respond to Wist-List requests.
Second, I ordered the shrub immediately. A week + later, the shrub was delivered, which was really quick considering it traveled all the way across the country to get from you to me.
Third, the size and condition of the shrub was just as advertised. That was a pleasant surprise. I mail order a lot of plants from nurseries all over the country, and have fallen victim a few times to the ‘tiny plant in the pot size listed’ misrepresentation! Thank you for doing business and still maintaining your integrity.
Fourth, I was beyond impressed with the more than clever shipping box you used. The shrub was so well secured there was not one twig broken or bent. I order shrubs often, and some have arrived pretty mangled from coming lose during shipping.
Lastly, I have to say that this ‘rave review’ is a first for me. I grew up on a small family mail-order nursery, so am probably more critical than customers who haven’t had my up close and personal view of the nursery business. I am a ‘tough nut to crack,’ and you managed to breeze through the whole process, and impress me in the bargain. New customers can order from you with complete confidence!
PS Loved the bio about how you came to be ‘nursery folks.’ Somewhat ironically, my family’s name is also Wilson. Dad’s nursery (now long out of business) was Saxton & Wilson, Maplewood (now Portland), Oregon. He started off growing perennials and dwarf conifers for mail order. Later he transitioned to growing rare trees and shrubs (his ‘first love’) for collector’s gardens.————————————————————-We are so glad you are pleased and we hope you enjoy it for years to come! Wow! Thanks so much for the kind words and awesome review! 🙂 Beth Steele | WBG
